We would like to again congratulate Audrey Griswold as this year’s scholarship recipient. She is attending the University of Stirling to study English. This years topical theme essay subject was: What is your family connection to the Griswolds and why is it important to you?
Here is Audrey’s essay:
My connection to the Griswold family is from my paternal side, making it my current surname and my maiden name. I am currently in the Griswold family.
Why the Griswold connection is important to me is that it is a part of who I am in my identity. The long legacy going back generations in a noble line is a heritage I am proud to be part of.
Family is a huge value of mine and aside from knowing individual family members and where the Griswold originally came from (Warwickshire, England), there are still so many secrets and things I can’t help but be curious about in the Griswold family.
